A STEM Education Webinar for College Students

Date: November 19, 2025
Time: 7:00 pm – 8:15 pm
Facilitator: Rebecca Lehr, Senior Director Programs and Professional Learning
TGR Learning Lab Philadelphia

Presented by the PRISE STEM Teacher Talent Coalition.

During this 60-minute introduction to inquiry, students will explore the foundations of inquiry-based learning, comparing it to traditional direct instruction. They will engage in hands-on activities and discussions that highlight the value of curiosity, student agency, and collaborative exploration. The session introduces four types of inquiry—structured, controlled, guided, and free—and provides strategies for scaffolding student independence. Students will leave with a deeper understanding of how to foster inquiry mindsets in classrooms.
